NATUNA, KABARTERKINI.co.id – Natuna Regent Wan Siswandi and his staff welcomed the visit of 17 foreign tourists. Dozens of tourists using 7 Yachts or modern Sailboats, were welcomed with a gala dinner at Natuna Dive Resort, Sepempang Village, Bunguran Timur District, Friday evening 9 June 2023.
“We really appreciate the visit of ladies and gentlemen from a number of foreign countries to this Magical Sea of the Sea of Sorcerer. We hope that your presence can become one of the promotional events for Natuna tourism,” said Wan Sis -as he is usually called- in his speech.
The tourism sector, according to him, is one of the five programs to accelerate Natuna’s development. Which was established by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) some time ago. The five programs are Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Oil and Gas, Defense, Tourism and the Environment.
“Of course we fully support every program launched by the President, one of which is in the tourism sector,” said the number one person in the border island district in the middle of this Asean country.
Head of the Natuna Tourism Office Hardinansyah said in the report that the visit by dozens of foreign tourists was part of the 2023 Sail To Natuna Yacht Rally Event. Specifically for Natuna, it will take place from June 8 to June 11, 2023.
“The plan is for around 32 yachts to Natuna. Currently, only 7 yachts have anchored in front of Teluk Selahang Beach or Tanjung Beach, Limau Manis Village, East Bunguran District,” said Hardinansyah.
“The Sail To Natuna Yacht Rally 2023 event is a central government program, through the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment. So every area visited by yachts is asked to hold a welcoming ceremony,” he said again. (*andi surya)
